On the 13th of May, we are celebrating IEEE Global Engineering Day!
Today, we pay tribute to the profession and field of study that has always pushed mankind’s known limitations a little bit further.
It is indisputable that engineering built and fuels every modern-day metropolis. Major cities worldwide house the tallest skyscrapers, a complex system of throbbing highways, subways, skyways as well as state-of-the-art airports and seaports. And the higher we go, the less likely we are to take the stairs. This is where elevators and escalators come in handy, always effortlessly taking us to the highest of floors and the lowest of basements. But jokes aside, elevators of different kinds are a
key feature for many disabled people and can make their lives easier.
Special thanks to all engineers in the elevator industry!
You always lift us to new heights! ❤
